Welcome to Some Day Newfoundlands!
We are a small family owned business located in Northwest Ohio. Our mission is to provide you with a quality puppy according to breed standard with a personality to match! Health, body structure, AND temperament are our top priorities.
New to Newfs? No problem! Here are some quick facts about the breed!
* Newfs are very loyal and make great companions!
* They are truly gentle giants and are known for being great "babysitters", think back to Peter Pan!
* Newfs are cool climate dogs, however they can live in warmer climates as long as they are provided with air conditioning
* Newfoundlands are not jogging dogs, however they do enjoy going on walks, hiking, and especially swimming!
* They do drool but research shows females drool less than males & dry mouths can be found (meaning they have a bit less drool, but NOT drool free!)
* Newfoundlands will mature between 120 and 160 lbs according to breed standard
* They are well known for being great therapy and water rescue dogs
* Newfies are very intelligent and relatively easy to train
*Newfoundlands are double coated and "blow" their coat in the spring. Be prepared to provide proper grooming and care for your giant.
Please be sure to do research on the breed and be prepared to care for these fur babies! Don't hesitate to ask us more about the breed.
